In the competition YES! 2021 (see announcement from 23rd March 2021), students from South Forsyth High School (Georgia, USA) looked at how public awareness of geothermal energy can be built up and how the acceptance of geothermal energy in society can be improved. They developed various solutions, including an app and the GeoBus. With these solutions, the students won the YES! International Award at the YES! 2021 final. Dr. Tabea Schröder and Dr. Marius Waldvogel submitted the topic "#GreenInsteadOfBrown - How can one meet the fears of society & create acceptance for geothermal energy?" to YES 2021 and were available as scientific contacts.

Congratulations to South Forsyth High School on their great success!
